YouTube Thumbnail – Depths of Horror: Mushroom Day | Hovilden

This project is a custom YouTube thumbnail designed to maximize readability and click-through rate while accurately representing the video's tone.
Although Depths of Horror: Mushroom Day is presented as a horror experience, the gameplay turned out to be more humorous than frightening. To communicate that contrast, the thumbnail combines unsettling horror imagery with an exaggerated facial expression and bold typography, creating an ironic and eye-catching composition.

The design focuses on:
Strong visual hierarchy.
High contrast between the foreground and background.
Cinematic horror-inspired lighting.
Large, readable typography for small-screen visibility.
A balance between horror and comedy to spark curiosity and encourage clicks.

AI Usage: AI was used exclusively to assist in the creation of the background environment. The thumbnail's concept, composition, typography, character editing, lighting, color grading, visual effects, and final layout were created manually.
